Admission requirements

The admission requirements for the iGEON programme are as follows:
Preferably, applicants should have a first or  second class BSc degree, or equivalent, from a recognized university in a discipline related to the course. It would be an advantage if this is combined with working experience in a relevant field. Examples of relevant fields are geography, agriculture, biology.

As all courses are given in English, proficiency in the English language is a prerequisite. Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate an acceptable standard by means an approved English language test. Test scores should be less than three years old. The qualifications given below are normally acceptable:

Paper-based TOEFL :580
Computer-based TOEFL :237
Internet-based TOEFL :92
British Council/IELTS :6.5
Cambridge Proficiency in English or Cambridge Advanced :Grade C or above
University Entrance Test for Speakers of Other Languages (NEAB) :A minimum of two C grades and three higher grades
GCSE English Language or Use of English :Grade C or above


Nationals of certain countries are given exemption from having to take a formal English language test. Please refer to our list of countries with exemptions.Nationals of countries who are not on this list are, without exceptions, required to submit an approved English test score.

Computer skills
Computer skills are essential in this programme. Applicants lacking computer experience are strongly advised to follow basic courses before starting the iGEON programme.
